Solar: The Energy of Innovation

Virginia Friedman and Liz Robinson from the Philadelphia Solar Energy Association will introduce PSEA's 5th grade science curriculum that explores how solar energy works and its role in addressing climate change. The curriculum meets the new PA STEELS standards as well as the Education for Sustainability standards. They will also talk about the kinds of hands-on activities incorporated into the curriculum, e.g. the "Imagine a Clean Energy Future" contest and the Junior Solar Sprint.
